We are seeking a driven (Senior) Associate with a strong foundation in energy law to join a close-knit, multidisciplinary Energy, Industry & Renewables team. You will advise leading energy and industrial clients on complex regulatory and transactional matters, draft and negotiate major energy contracts, and represent clients in disputes before courts and administrative bodies.

Your work will span the full energy landscape—from electricity and gas to heat and CC(U)S—covering regulatory exceptions, market design, and supervisory/enforcement issues. You will also draft PPAs, tolling agreements, and other energy-specific contracts, and handle both civil and administrative proceedings. As a senior team member, you will lead matters independently, serve as a key client contact, and collaborate with colleagues across finance, procurement, tax, notarial, and other practice areas to deliver integrated solutions.

You will have the opportunity to build your own client portfolio and contribute to the strategic growth of the practice. The firm offers a supportive and informal culture, with strong professional development and a renovated, modern office in Amsterdam.

  • Master’s degree in Dutch law
  • At least 4 years of experience as a lawyer and/or in a relevant role outside legal practice (e.g., in-house counsel)
  • Strong knowledge of energy law and experience advising on (renewable) energy regulation and supervision
  • Experience with energy contracting and/or litigation (administrative and civil) in the energy sector
  • Interest in technological developments, such as AI, and their application in legal work
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in Dutch and English
