Apply in confidence →Seeking a mid-level energy regulatory lawyer to join a national energy practice in Washington. The role focuses on administrative litigation and regulatory counseling for energy-sector clients, including work before federal and state agencies.
Day-to-day work will include prosecuting and defending administrative litigation and enforcement actions, obtaining regulatory approvals, negotiating power and trading agreements, drafting and negotiating transportation and processing agreements, and providing regulatory support on transactions and compliance matters.
- 4-6 years' post-qualification experience in transactional or litigation matters in the energy, utility, or pipeline sectors
- Experience with administrative litigation and counseling before federal and state energy regulators (e.g., FERC)
- Familiarity with purchase power agreements, electric trading agreements, and oil & gas infrastructure agreements
- Experience advising on regulatory compliance and providing regulatory support for M&A or other corporate transactions
