A leading international law firm seeks a Senior Associate to join its highly regarded Environment & Planning practice in Brisbane. The team acts for major corporates, developers, infrastructure providers, industry and government on complex planning and environmental matters.

The role offers a genuine mix of litigation, advisory and transactional work. Matters may include planning approvals and appeals, major project approvals, contaminated land and waste management, planning agreements, land acquisition, due diligence in the oil & gas and mining sectors, renewable energy projects, incident response and investigations, and environmental prosecutions and enforcement.

5+ years' PQE gained within a reputable Environment & Planning practice
Experience with environmental approvals and prosecutions
Broad experience across environmental law issues in a range of sectors
Experience conducting proceedings relating to environmental or planning matters, including in courts of summary jurisdiction and higher trial courts
Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong drafting ability
Strong academic record
Energetic, driven and focused approach
