Senior Associate opportunity in a leading international environmental, planning and communities practice based in Melbourne. The team advises on the full spectrum of environmental and planning law, including land access, contaminated land, heritage and Indigenous cultural heritage, and regulatory compliance for major projects across energy, infrastructure, resources and urban development.

You will provide project-development, transactional, compliance and strategic advice to government and private-sector clients on complex approvals, native title and land-access matters. The role involves pragmatic, commercially focused work across multiple jurisdictions and high-profile files, with opportunities to develop technical expertise and sector experience.

  • Australian or New Zealand practising certificate
  • Significant experience in environmental and planning law, land access/acquisition and regulatory approvals
  • Experience with native title and Indigenous cultural heritage matters
  • Strong academic background, excellent drafting and analytical skills, and the ability to manage complex matters to tight deadlines
  • Commercial mindset, collaborative approach and willingness to develop sector expertise; interest in AI and legal-technology innovation
