Senior Associate role in a market-leading foreign investment regulatory team, advising on FIRB approvals, national security and critical infrastructure matters that affect cross-border transactions. You will lead regulatory workstreams on complex matters, liaise with government agencies and deal teams, and shape regulatory strategy across technology, energy and other strategic sectors.

As the senior non-partner lead on matters you will manage client relationships, supervise junior lawyers and drive negotiation of conditions and mitigation frameworks with regulators. The role offers high government engagement and exposure to precedent-setting regulatory solutions at the intersection of geopolitics, technology and investment.

  • Approximately 6 years PQE in regulatory/transactional work (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience on FIRB/foreign investment matters or managing regulatory approval workstreams; direct engagement with regulators is highly desirable.
  • Strong drafting skills (applications, submissions, responses) and ability to translate regulatory risk into commercial outcomes.
  • Proven ability to lead, supervise and mentor junior lawyers; excellent organisation and client relationship skills.
