Prestigious national finance practice seeks a Senior Associate (5–7 years' experience) to join its leveraged finance and private credit team in Charlotte. The role focuses on representing lenders, private credit funds, BDCs and other non-bank lenders on complex sponsor-backed financings.

Work will include lead drafting and negotiation, client-facing responsibilities, and managing transactions to closing across multi-lender/syndicated facilities, unitranche and first-out/last-out structures, senior and mezzanine financings, and liability-management matters. Expect a fast-paced, transactional environment with significant ownership of deal execution.

5–7 years' PQE in leveraged finance or private credit transactions
Experience representing financial institutions, private credit funds, BDCs or non-bank lenders
Proven skills on sponsor-backed acquisition financings, syndicated and multi-lender facilities, and unitranche/first-out–last-out structures
Familiarity with mezzanine/subordinated debt, preferred equity co-investments and intercreditor mechanics
Strong drafting, negotiation and client-management abilities; able to run deals independently to closing
