Top-tier finance team is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Leveraged Finance / Private Credit group in Chicago. The role focuses on sponsor-backed acquisition financings, cash-flow and asset-based lending, mezzanine and subordinated structures, and multi-lender/syndicated facilities in a fast-paced transactional practice.

You will take ownership of deals from drafting and negotiation through to closing, interfacing directly with lenders, sponsors and opposing counsel. The position offers exposure to complex structures including unitranche/first-out–last-out, intercreditor arrangements, liability management and cross-border/multi-currency financings.

5–7 years' transactional experience in leveraged finance or private credit.
Experience representing financial institutions, private credit funds, BDCs or non-bank lenders on sponsor-backed and syndicated transactions.
Familiarity with unitranche, mezzanine/subordinated financings, intercreditor mechanics, and liability management (amendments, exchange offers, refinancings).
Strong drafting, negotiation, and project-management skills; comfortable managing multiple active matters to closing.
