Top-tier national Finance & Financial Services practice is seeking a Senior Associate with 5–7 years' experience in leveraged finance and private credit to join its Houston team. The role focuses on sponsor-backed acquisition financings, multi-lender and syndicated facilities, unitranche and first-out/last-out structures, and mezzanine/subordinated financings.

The lawyer will work directly with lenders, private credit funds, BDCs and non-bank arrangers, lead deal execution from documentation through closing, and negotiate intercreditor, subordination and liability-management mechanics across complex transactions, including cross-border and multi-currency matters.

5–7 years' post-qualification experience in leveraged finance/private credit
Experienced representing financial institutions, private credit funds, BDCs or non-bank lenders on sponsor-backed deals
Track record on syndicated and multi-lender transactions, unitranche and senior/mezzanine structures
Strong drafting and negotiation skills on credit documentation, intercreditor arrangements, amendments/waivers and liability-management transactions
