Senior Associate, Liability & Insurance Litigation – Sydney

A leading global law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join its Sydney liability defence team within a well-established insurance practice.

Working closely with senior partners who specialise in casualty, property, professional indemnity, marine and aviation litigation, you will advise domestic and international insurer clients on a broad range of insurance and liability matters. The role involves casualty, public and product liability, property damage, catastrophic claims, marine, aviation and general insurance litigation.

You will take responsibility for running complex matters, have direct client contact, and support and mentor junior lawyers. There is flexibility to shape the role and mix of work depending on your strengths and interests, with opportunities to work more closely with one partner or across both practices.

• Extensive experience in liability, casualty or insurance litigation
• Strong litigation experience across State and Federal Courts
• Ability to manage matters autonomously
• Collaborative approach with an interest in developing junior lawyers
• Strong commercial judgement and relationship-building skills
