Senior Associate, Litigation — New York

Seeking a litigation senior associate to join a team defending third-party property damage, construction and general liability matters for insurer clients. The role involves managing an active caseload and leading defense strategies from discovery through trial or mediation.

Day-to-day work includes taking depositions, attending hearings and mediations, drafting pleadings, motions and client correspondence, conducting legal research, preparing discovery, and developing case-handling plans. You will coordinate with domestic and international insurers and work on latent-type insurance claims.

• J.D. and admission to the relevant state bar
• 5–7 years of litigation experience, preferably with property damage and/or construction defense
• Proven experience taking depositions and managing litigation matters (typical caseload ~20–25 files)
• Exceptional legal writing, research (Westlaw/Lexis) and communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple matters
• Client-focused approach and experience interacting with insurer clients preferred
