Private Equity M&A Senior Associate — San Francisco

An Am Law 20 firm is seeking a highly qualified senior associate with 6+ years of experience to join its Private Equity Group in San Francisco. The role involves a broad range of corporate and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged recapitalizations, growth equity and venture capital transactions, exits, and equity compensation.

The successful candidate will work both as part of a team and independently manage components of transactions. The firm values a proactive, business-minded approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to effectively manage internal and external client and counsel relationships.

• 6+ years of experience in corporate and transactional matters, including M&A, leveraged recapitalizations, growth equity and venture capital transactions, exits, and equity compensation.
• Ability to work independently and manage components of transactions.
• Outstanding academic credentials and comparable law firm experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive, strong business sense, and ability to manage internal and external client and counsel relationships.
• Relevant bar admission (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly).
• Deal sheet required.
