A leading global law firm is seeking a senior associate to join its real estate funds practice within its asset management group in New York. The role offers the opportunity to work alongside partners and lead teams on fundraising activities for real estate funds.

The position involves representing real estate fund sponsors and investors in legal, regulatory, and transactional matters, and advising clients across the full lifecycle of open-end and closed-end real estate fund products, including co-investment vehicles and other real estate investment products.

Candidates should be prepared to take substantial responsibility, mentor junior team members, and collaborate closely with colleagues across tax, real estate, finance, and regulatory practices while helping partners maintain and deepen client relationships.

Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing at a global law firm, focused on real estate funds, co-investment vehicles, and real estate investment products
Extensive experience advising on the structuring, formation, and management of open-end and closed-end real estate fund products
Experience representing real estate fund sponsors and investors in transactions and negotiations
Strong knowledge of real estate fund structures, securities laws, and regulatory frameworks
Proven ability to draft and negotiate complex legal documents, including offering documents, partnership agreements, side letters, and co-investment vehicle documents
JD from an accredited law school and current admission to practice in New York
High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Willingness and ability to lead and mentor junior associates
