Apply in confidence →Senior transactional lawyer to join a national Energy, Resources & Infrastructure team based in Brisbane. The role involves advising on projects across the energy transition, traditional oil & gas and LNG, power generation and transmission, resources-related infrastructure (ports, rail), water projects and major government infrastructure matters.
You will work with a market-facing transactional team on complex, high-profile deals and projects across all stages of a project lifecycle. The role offers exposure to renewables, storage and carbon abatement matters as well as conventional energy and infrastructure transactions.
This is a hands-on role combining substantive deal work, team support and contribution to practice development and business development activities.
- Proven corporate and private M&A experience gained in a law firm, in-house team or leading boutique; experience in energy, resources or infrastructure matters preferred.
- Strong drafting and technical skills (agreements, deeds, due diligence reports and advisory work).
- Excellent analytical, communication and commercial judgement, with a client-service focus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor junior lawyers and contribute to team resource allocation.
- Enthusiasm for business development and stakeholder relationship management.
- Right to work in Australia (candidates must hold appropriate visas/approvals if not citizens or permanent residents).
