Senior Associate - Tax - Sydney

An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Associate to join a dynamic, high-performing Tax practice in Sydney. Working closely with partners and senior lawyers, you will handle complex, high-value matters for leading multinational and ASX-listed clients, taking genuine ownership of workstreams and building direct client relationships from day one.

The team advises on the most commercially significant tax issues facing business today, spanning corporate income tax, international tax and transfer pricing, tax controversy, and GST/indirect tax. Clients come from technology, financial services, energy, infrastructure, consumer and life sciences, and the practice regularly advises on landmark transactions, revenue authority audits and disputes, and policy developments shaping how multinationals operate in Australia.

• Approximately 5–8 years' PQE gained at a top-tier or leading law firm or the Big 4.
• Experience advising on domestic and cross-border taxation matters, including financing arrangements, corporate transactions, restructures and international tax issues.
• Ability to work across a broad range of tax disciplines, including income tax, international tax, transfer pricing, GST and dispute resolution.
• A Master's in Tax (LLM) — completed, in progress, or willingness to undertake — is highly regarded.
• Strong drafting, research and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent organisational and matter management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• A collaborative approach, strong client relationship skills and a genuine desire to learn and contribute to team culture.
