A leading law firm is seeking a highly qualified senior attorney to join its Venture Capital Debt practice within a broader Debt Finance group in New York.

The role focuses on representing borrowers and their investors in venture debt, growth capital, and other similar financing transactions for early- and late-stage companies. Responsibilities include negotiating and drafting loan and related documents, advising on transaction structures, and supporting deal execution.

The position involves working closely with M&A, corporate, and finance attorneys across emerging companies, life sciences, M&A, and venture capital practices, and requires dedicating time to preparing forms and leveraging AI-driven models to support markups of term sheets, credit agreements, collateral documents, certificates, and customary credit deliverables.

Experience representing borrowers and their investors in venture debt, growth capital, and similar financing transactions
Strong skills in negotiating and drafting loan and related documents
Ability to advise on transaction structures and support deal execution
Outstanding academic credentials and comparable law firm experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bar admission (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly) in the resident office’s location
