We are seeking an experienced business immigration lawyer to join a dynamic, immigration-focused team in Toronto. As an Associate, you will develop expert-level understanding of your client base and the industries they operate in, build comprehensive case strategies, and counsel clients and foreign nationals on procedural and case-processing matters. You will assess eligibility for non-immigrant and immigrant visa status, prepare petitions and applications, and support clients in immigration program management and compliance.

You will draft and prepare legal documents, conduct research to support client requests and projects, and communicate proactively with clients and global mobility personnel. The role also involves mentoring and coaching junior associates and staff, identifying opportunities to improve quality and efficiency, and ensuring adherence to firm standards and protocols to mitigate risk.

U.S. JD or LLM required
Member of a U.S. State bar or the Washington D.C. bar
2–3 years of experience at Associate level
Expanded practical understanding of immigration law
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong drafting and proofreading ability
Demonstrated attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with competing demands
Dedication to exceptional client service and contributing to a positive work environment
