The position involves ERISA compliance, plan design and administration, and counseling on benefit issues arising in corporate transactions.
Responsibilities include drafting plan documents and disclosures, conducting compliance testing, preparing IRS and DOL filings, managing audits and correction matters, and supporting transactional work related to benefit plans. ESOP and plan asset rule experience is a plus.
The team offers a comprehensive benefits package and competitive compensation. Final offer will depend on geographic location and candidate experience; the listed expected pay range is $390,000+.
- Minimum 6 years' post-qualification experience advising on ERISA, qualified retirement plans and health & welfare plans
- Experience with plan design, administration, compliance testing, IRS and DOL filings/audits, and correction matters
- Transactional experience counseling on benefit issues in mergers, acquisitions and other deals
- Strong drafting, analytical, and oral communication skills; excellent academic credentials
