Senior attorney role in a national firm’s Compensation & Benefits group, focused on tax-qualified retirement plans and health & welfare plans. The role advises on ERISA compliance, plan design and administration, regulatory filings and audits, and benefit issues arising in transactions.

Responsibilities include drafting plan documents and disclosures, handling compliance testing and correction matters, and counseling on plan issues in M&A and other transactions. ESOP and plan-asset experience is a plus.

The position offers comprehensive benefits and an expected annual pay range beginning at $390,000+, with final offers based on geography and experience.

  • Minimum 6 years' post-qualification experience advising on tax-qualified retirement and health & welfare plans
  • Practical ERISA experience: plan design, administration, compliance testing, IRS and DOL filings and audits, and correction processes
  • Experience drafting plan documents, disclosures, and transactional benefits counsel (M&A experience preferred)
  • Excellent academic credentials and strong writing, oral communication and analytical skills
