An established defendant credit hire and repair team seeks an experienced Solicitor, CILEX Lawyer or Paralegal to manage a varied caseload of litigated vehicle hire and damage claims. The team works with a large roster of insurers and self-insured corporates, handling all aspects of defendant credit hire dispute resolution from small track through multi-track, including fraudulent claims and associated issues such as liability, indemnity, personal injury, credit repair and diminution.

The role involves managing your own litigated caseload with an appropriate level of supervision, acting as a client point of contact, meeting internal and external service level agreements, and supporting marketing and business development activity such as client training and events. You will work closely with supervisors and team managers to deliver a timely, professional, high-quality service.

This is a multi-office, UK-based opportunity with flexible and remote working arrangements available, subject to the expectation of attending an office at least monthly for training and client events.

At least 2 years' experience handling litigated motor claims and managing your own caseload
Credit hire experience is essential
Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to recognise time pressures and when to seek help
Good interpersonal skills for liaising with clients, customers and colleagues, and a genuine team player
Strong oral and written communication skills
Analytical ability to assess factual evidence, identify key legal arguments and apply them
IT literacy, with working knowledge of Excel and Word
Commercial awareness and ability to run cases within given fee structures
Resilience, including confidence in telephone negotiations and receptiveness to feedback
Aptitude to learn new skills and retain knowledge
