Our Brisbane office seeks a Solicitor or Senior Associate (4–8 PQE) with a background in energy, resources and infrastructure — corporate, private M&A and/or project development — to join our leading transactional team. The role suits a transactional lawyer with relevant experience, or one with a keen interest in moving into the sector.

The practice covers the full energy and infrastructure spectrum: energy transition (renewable projects, gas-peakers, battery and hydro storage, abatement), gas, LNG, hydrogen and future fuels, electricity generation and transmission, resources and related infrastructure such as port and rail, water, and major government projects. You will advise on complex, market-leading deals across each stage of a project's lifecycle, working with senior practitioners in Brisbane and nationally.

As a senior practitioner you will help grow the practice — nurturing professional networks, contributing to business development and maintaining an industry profile — while supporting and developing junior solicitors and assisting with team resourcing and workflow.

4–8 years' PQE in corporate, private M&A and/or project development, gained at a leading firm, boutique or in-house environment (experience in energy, resources and infrastructure preferred; a strong interest in moving into the space is also welcome).
Excellent analytical, communication and research skills, with a commercial and pragmatic approach.
First-rate drafting of advices, reports, agreements, contracts, deeds and due diligence materials.
Strong commitment to client service and relationship management.
Team focus and enthusiasm for business development and mentoring junior lawyers.
