Join a national Employment, Pensions & Immigration team as a solicitor focused on police employment work. The role sits within a UK-wide practice advising police forces and large employer clients on employment litigation and advisory matters, with particular emphasis on Employment Tribunal work.

The post is open to candidates to be based in Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester or Nottingham, working as part of the firm's national team under a hybrid working policy. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing a mixed caseload, running tribunal files, preparing pleadings and witness statements, attending and advocating at preliminary hearings where required, supervising junior fee-earners and supporting business development and training initiatives.

This is an opportunity to develop a practice in police employment matters while contributing to growth plans and working alongside senior lawyers on high-profile public sector clients.

  • Qualified solicitor with 4+ years PQE (candidates with relevant experience considered)
  • Experience running respondent employment tribunal files and handling employment litigation
  • Advocacy experience at preliminary or interim hearings preferred
  • Strong technical knowledge of employment law, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines/targets
  • Excellent communication, organisational skills and ability to supervise or mentor junior fee-earners
