Solicitor, Private Equity & Venture Capital – Sydney

An opportunity has arisen for a solicitor to join a market-leading Band 1 corporate M&A practice in Sydney, working within its private equity and venture capital team. The role offers exposure to some of the highest-profile private capital transactions in Australia, with the chance to collaborate with offices across a global network.

You will work across a range of domestic and global corporate transactions, including private and public M&A with a particular focus on private equity, as well as venture capital and growth equity capital raises from seed stage through to pre-IPO. You will play a key role across the full deal lifecycle — drafting and negotiating contracts, managing due diligence and overseeing completion — while working directly with clients.

The team is widely regarded as having Australia's leading M&A practice, with a Tier 1 private equity offering spanning the full scope of M&A and structured capital solutions, and deep expertise in venture capital and growth equity across the investment cycle from seed to IPO.

You will also support business development activities, events, pitching, marketing and thought leadership, helping to cultivate strong client relationships across a range of sectors.

• Admission to practice as a lawyer in Australia or New Zealand
• 2–4 years' experience in a leading corporate M&A practice
• Excellent academic results and a passion for continuous learning
