The position is open to candidates able to be based in either the Sydney or Melbourne office and will involve working on high‑profile, cross‑border matters across sectors such as telecommunications, tech, energy, resources, infrastructure and financial services.

The team offers structured development, mentoring and opportunities to supervise junior lawyers while developing technical expertise in the evolving merger control regime and other competition law areas.

Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in competition law or relevant regulator experience in Australia
Proven experience on merger clearances, investigations and other competition/consumer law matters
Strong academic record, commercial judgment and excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to supervise junior lawyers, manage deadlines and work collaboratively on cross-border matters
Interest in emerging technologies and how they affect competition law (e.g. AI)
