Leading US law firm is seeking an experienced tax partner to join its Chicago tax practice. The role focuses on advising corporate and private clients on complex federal and state tax matters across transactional and advisory workstreams.

The successful candidate will take a visible role in client relationship management and practice growth, working closely with multi-disciplinary teams on sophisticated tax planning, structuring and controversy matters. The position offers a platform to build and lead a team within a well-resourced national practice.

Portable book of business of $2M+ (USD)
Proven partner-level experience advising corporate, private equity or high-net-worth clients on US tax matters
Strong technical knowledge of federal and state tax law and demonstrated ability to lead complex tax engagements
Track record of business development and client relationship management; leadership and mentoring experience
Admission to practice in relevant US jurisdiction(s); Illinois admission or willingness to obtain preferred
