Technology & IP Transactions Associate — Chicago

Top-tier US law firm seeks a mid-level associate to join its Technology & IP Transactions group in Chicago. The team advises on technology- and IP-intensive transactions for public and private clients across industries including software and AI, life sciences, energy, consumer products, and media.

Work will include a mix of domestic and cross-border matters such as M&A, financings, joint ventures, strategic alliances, restructurings, software and systems agreements, outsourcing, R&D and collaboration agreements, and patent/trademark/copyright and data licensing matters. A technical degree is not required.

• 3–6 years' experience in technology- and IP-related transactional work
• Document drafting and negotiation experience on commercial technology agreements, licenses, or transaction documentation
• Strong academic background and excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively on complex, multi-disciplinary deals and manage competing priorities
