A full-service Am Law 100 firm is seeking an attorney to join its Transportation Practice in its Atlanta, Georgia office. This is a hybrid role offering the opportunity to work on a substantial book of trucking-industry defense matters.

The team defends the transportation sector in both intra-state and interstate matters, representing freight carriers, transportation brokers, truck insurers, public entities, school bus operators, long- and short-haul truckers, and waste management groups. The practice handles issues pervasive to the industry, including negligent hiring and retention, hours-of-service, engine control module data, messaging and positioning data, regulatory compliance, and accident reconstruction.

The successful candidate will be self-driven, able to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively. Admitted to practice in Georgia
At least 2 to 15 years of insurance defense experience, including heavy trucking, tractor-trailer, and cargo/freight carrier matters
Comfort drafting and responding to discovery and initial pleadings
Experience drafting and arguing motions
Ability to take and defend depositions
Strong writing and analytical skills
Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team
