Senior associate role within a leading antitrust & competition team advising on foreign direct investment (FDI) and merger control matters. The role is open to candidates for either the Frankfurt or Hamburg office and involves cross-border work coordinated with international teams.

Work includes advising on FDI approval requirements, structuring and implementing cross-border transactions, coordinating parallel merger control and FDI proceedings, and representing clients before national and European authorities and courts. The team handles contentious and non-contentious matters and offers early responsibility on significant mandates.

The firm provides formal training, mentoring, flexible working arrangements and opportunities to participate in internal committees and business development initiatives.

Minimum of 1 year post-qualification experience in antitrust/competition law or related practice.
Practical experience with foreign direct investment (FDI) reviews and merger control filings, including cross-border matters.
Strong academic record, including two state examinations with at least a "fully satisfactory" result (or equivalent).
Excellent English language skills; German proficiency expected for client-facing work in Germany.
Analytical, commercially minded team player with excellent drafting and advocacy abilities.
