Consumer Warranty & Lemon Law Associate Attorney

A full-service Am Law 100 firm is seeking an attorney to join its Consumer Warranty Practice in the Orange County, California office. The practice leverages extensive products liability litigation experience to defend the manufacturing integrity and warranty services of clients nationwide.

The team serves a broad range of clients in the consumer warranty space, with an emphasis on trial counsel work in both federal and state courts and acting as local, regional, and national coordinating counsel on complex, multi-party matters. Attorneys have defended manufacturers of automobiles, heavy-duty trucks, recreational vehicles, boats, motorcycles, and other products against warranty and related claims brought by consumer and commercial customers.

The ideal candidate will handle drafting and responding to discovery and initial pleadings, draft and argue motions, and take and defend depositions. Strong writing and analytical skills, along with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, are essential. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who can work both independently and collaboratively. While experience in consumer warranty law is preferred, the firm is also interested in developing talented attorneys with excellent skills in any litigation arena.

• Admitted to practice in California
• 1–7 years of experience defending consumer litigation claims
• Experience with federal laws such as the Song-Beverly Act, Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, state lemon laws, Uniform Commercial Code, and consumer sales practices acts
• Comfortable drafting and responding to discovery and initial pleadings, drafting and arguing motions, and taking and defending depositions
• Strong writing and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
