Associate - Corporate

An established law firm is seeking a talented corporate associate with transactional experience to join its corporate team. The role involves advising a diverse client base on a broad range of corporate finance transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and private equity deals.

The successful candidate will manage matters from inception through to completion, ensuring client needs are met to the highest standard, while handling a caseload prioritized against client timelines and expectations.

Beyond core legal work, the role includes contributing to business development — participating in seminars, writing articles and engaging with clients at events — alongside ongoing development of legal and commercial skills through targeted training and supervision.

• Demonstrable experience and technical expertise advising clients on corporate law matters
• Specific expertise in transactional work, including M&A, joint ventures and private equity
• Excellent legal drafting abilities and the capacity to deliver clear, pragmatic and commercially focused advice
• Strong commercial awareness and a practical, common-sense approach to problem solving
• Excellent communication skills and confidence in building trusted client relationships
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to assimilate complex information quickly
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work to tight deadlines
