Associate, Environment & Planning — Sydney

Join a busy environment and planning team in Sydney advising developers, resource companies and government bodies on regulatory, approvals and compliance matters. The role involves work across environmental impact assessments, planning approvals, contamination and licensing, and regulatory strategy.

You will collaborate with partners and senior lawyers on transactional and advisory matters, assist with drafting submissions and permits, manage stakeholder engagement and provide practical risk-based legal advice. The team offers exposure to a range of sectors and opportunities for professional development.

• Qualified lawyer admitted in the relevant Australian jurisdiction.
• Experience in environmental and/or planning law (advice, approvals, EIA or compliance).
• Strong drafting, research and regulatory interpretation skills.
• Ability to manage client work, work collaboratively in a team and communicate clearly to technical and non-legal audiences.
