Associate, Finance & Projects, Tokyo

Experienced finance associate role in Tokyo within a large international practice team. You will work on a broad range of finance and projects matters including project finance, acquisition finance and related financial regulatory work.

Typical responsibilities include drafting, reviewing and negotiating finance transaction documentation (eg, loan agreements, security documents), supporting deal execution and collaborating closely with partners and other team members. The team handles cross-border and domestic transactions for corporate and financial institution clients.

• Japan-qualified lawyer (bengoshi)
• Approximately 3–6 years post-qualification experience (flexible for strong candidates)
• Practical experience in corporate and finance transactions, including project finance and acquisition finance
• Proven ability drafting and negotiating finance documentation (loan agreements, security documents) and handling financial regulatory matters
• Business-level English
