Senior-junior level associate role in a leading international projects and finance practice based in Tokyo. You will be part of the core Tokyo team and integrated with the regional Asia‑Pacific and global projects groups, working on cross‑border project development and finance transactions across multiple sectors.

Day-to-day work includes managing due diligence on greenfield and brownfield projects, drafting and negotiating project and finance documentation, participating in client calls and meetings, and collaborating with colleagues across offices and departments. The role is busy and demanding, offering exposure to complex, market‑leading transactional work and opportunities to contribute to know‑how and business development.

0–6 years' post‑qualification experience in project development, project finance or general finance
Strong technical legal drafting, negotiation and commercial judgment
Proven ability to lead workstreams, work in cross‑office teams and manage client contact
Self‑motivated, resilient, team‑oriented and comfortable working under pressure
Japanese language skills are a bonus but not required
