Join a large, market-leading general insurance team in Sydney as a Lawyer/Associate focused on defendant-side insurance work. The role will handle property liability and defence matters, with exposure to professional indemnity and recoveries, acting for national and international insurers.

You will manage your own files with appropriate supervision, draft client advice and court documents, prepare witness statements and evidence, brief counsel and experts, and attend court. The team embraces flexible and hybrid working and uses legal technology, including AI where permitted by clients.

At least 18 months post-admission experience in general insurance law (recoveries, liability defence, professional indemnity)
Strong experience in recoveries and property damage liability claims highly regarded
Clear, concise legal drafting and attention to detail; ability to prepare witness statements, court documents and briefs for counsel
Comfortable managing own files under supervision and working collaboratively in a team
