An associate role within a market-leading Intellectual Property & Technology team based in Birmingham. The team advises on technology contracts, IP protection and exploitation, digital transformation projects and supports cross-office corporate and M&A work.

You will join a collaborative, growing practice that works domestically and internationally across a broad range of sectors including technology, automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, telecoms, financial services and life sciences. The role offers varied matter exposure, involvement in cross-office projects and genuine opportunities to develop niche specialisms.

The team emphasises professional development, client service and business development; you will be supported by experienced colleagues and encouraged to take responsibility for your own caseload and growth initiatives.

Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with 0–5 years' PQE.
Experience or strong interest in technology-related commercial work (technology contracts, outsourcing, digital transformation, AI, or related areas).
Commercial mindset, strong legal drafting and technical skills, and ability to manage a caseload.
Effective organisational and interpersonal skills; comfortable working collaboratively across offices and jurisdictions.
Commitment to business development and confident use of technology in day-to-day work.
