An international firm is seeking an experienced associate to join its Projects, Energy and Infrastructure team, based in its Oman office. The role centres on power and water projects, PPP, infrastructure development and oil & gas work, acting for both domestic and international developers and procurers in Oman and across the wider Gulf region.

You will manage large, complex transactions under partner supervision, reviewing and drafting bespoke contracts and analysing contractual positions, while collaborating closely with colleagues across the regional Projects, Energy and Infrastructure practice. The team handles a broad range of energy and infrastructure matters and offers strong prospects for career development.

Beyond transactional work, the role involves building and maintaining client relationships, contributing to marketing initiatives and delivering client training seminars and presentations.

3–5 years' PQE gained at a reputable firm
Excellent academic record with a law degree, ideally from a common law jurisdiction
Previous experience in the Omani market
Proven ability to take on responsibility and manage files proactively
Fluent written and spoken Arabic and English
Excellent drafting and negotiation skills with commercially focused advice
Strong organisational and time management skills, able to juggle matters under pressure
Willingness to travel for meetings around the GCC
Appetite for marketing and business development
