A global law firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Commercial Technology team, working on complex, high-profile deals across emerging tech (including AI), IT, and tech-led BPO outsourcing. The workload is varied, spanning both customer and supplier-side technology contracts for traditional IT and outsourcing arrangements as well as innovative and disruptive technologies such as AI systems and services.

The team is particularly known for its financial services sector expertise, advising financial institutions on the regulatory impact of critical IT projects, from infrastructure and application deployments to cloud services. Clients include some of the world's largest technology and IT service providers, alongside major financial institutions and established and start-up Fintech and Regtech players.

The role also involves advising on technology-related regulatory requirements, supporting the technology aspects of corporate deals, business development initiatives such as client seminars and briefing papers, and client-facing management. Senior-level candidates are expected to coach and supervise more junior team members.

4–7 PQE with a good grounding in technology and commercial law and related laws and regulations
Experience advising on the full range of IT and outsourcing contracts, including key commercial and operational issues
Keen interest in technology, including artificial intelligence; experience of AI matters is an advantage
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication across cultures and levels
Ability to build strong relationships and a genuine interest in business development
At Senior Associate level, an interest in coaching and supervising more junior team members
