A Chambers and Legal 500 top-tier ranked contentious private client team in Yorkshire is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join its nationally recognised practice. The team is known for its depth of expertise and handles a broad range of complex, high-value contentious private client matters for clients across the UK.

You will advise on matters including Inheritance Act claims, challenges to the validity of wills, trust disputes, estate administration disputes, Court of Protection-related matters and other complex private client disputes. Working alongside experienced specialists, you will further develop your own expertise while contributing to the continued success and growth of the team locally and nationally.

Qualification as a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive in England & Wales
Experience advising clients on contentious probate, trust and estate disputes
Ability to manage a varied caseload proactively and efficiently
Strong client relationship skills, with clear and practical advice in sensitive situations
Effective negotiation, dispute resolution and case management skills
Collaborative approach and a proactive attitude to developing technical knowledge
Beneficial: experience advising high-net-worth individuals, executors, trustees or beneficiaries
Beneficial: experience with trusts, business assets and/or international elements
Beneficial: interest in business development and referrer relationships
Beneficial: experience mentoring junior colleagues; ACTAPS membership or qualification
