An Am Law 100 full-service firm is seeking an experienced attorney to join its insurance coverage practice in its Orange County, California office. The role focuses on analyzing insurance coverage and preparing coverage opinions in first-party property and general liability matters, alongside active coverage litigation.

The practice represents primary and excess insurers, reinsurers, third-party administrators, managing general agents, brokers and agents, and independent adjustment companies in complex coverage disputes. Work spans monitoring, mediations, arbitrations, and declaratory relief litigation in state and federal courts nationwide.

The firm is collaborative and growing, and welcomes talented litigators with strong substantive experience who have a demonstrated interest in insurance law, even where coverage-specific background is limited.

• 8–15 years of experience analyzing insurance coverage and preparing coverage opinions on first-party property and general liability matters
• Litigation experience, including taking depositions, attending court hearings, and drafting and arguing motions
• Strong research and writing skills
• Admission to the California Bar
• Prior insurance law experience preferred, but strong litigators with a demonstrated interest in the field will be considered
