A market-leading banking and finance team is seeking a talented associate to join its Manchester office. The role involves advising major UK banks and alternative lenders on a broad range of finance transactions.

You will work on acquisition finance, property finance, asset-based lending, restructuring, and refinancing, drafting and negotiating facility agreements (bilateral and syndicated) and other key documentation. The position offers the opportunity to lead and support banking transactions, attend client meetings, project manage deals, supervise junior team members, and coordinate with overseas lawyers.

Business development is also part of the role, including building relationships with key bankers in Manchester and supporting marketing efforts across the North West and other regions.

Solid knowledge of banking law and relevant finance areas.
Strong drafting, negotiation, and project management skills.
Commercial mindset with a focus on client needs and solutions.
Interest in financial sector developments and legal updates.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to master complex contracts.
Team player with initiative, able to supervise and delegate.
Good IT skills and familiarity with online research tools.
