Senior in-house counsel role within a central Legal, Risk & Compliance team at a major international law firm office in Amsterdam. You will lead and operationalise the client engagement framework, taking ownership of engagement letters, general terms, framework agreements and related policies.

The role combines hands-on contract negotiation and advice on commercial matters with programme-level work: translating recurring issues into standards, training and process improvements, and steering tooling and data-driven enhancements for client acceptance and contract management. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation and with colleagues in other European offices, in Dutch and English.

Wo-opleiding Rechten (Law degree) and approximately 5+ years relevant experience (e.g. lawyer or legal counsel in professional services or similar).
Proven experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating engagement letters, general terms and framework agreements; commercial contract skills.
Strong understanding of professional rules and compliance obligations (including client acceptance/Wwft, privacy/AVG and related Dutch professional regulations).
Ability to translate case-level issues into policies, standards, trainings and process improvements; experience with tooling or contract management systems is a plus.
Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English; strong stakeholder management and pragmatic problem-solving.
