A market-leading national Commercial team is seeking a strong commercial lawyer at Associate level to join its Aberdeen practice. The role offers a broad mix of commercial work, with a particular emphasis on the energy sector, alongside IT, data protection and intellectual property matters.

The primary focus of this role will be managing Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), supporting the team through a busy period. The successful candidate will manage a substantial portfolio of clients and a fast-paced workload, working with clients on both the customer and supplier side.

The team operates as a single national group with cross-border capability, working across intellectual property protection and exploitation, IT and business process outsourcing, facilities management outsourcing, logistics, SaaS, cloud arrangements and general commercial contracts. Qualified lawyer with 1+ years' PQE, gained in a comparable practice or in-house environment
Strong technical and analytical skills with a commercial mindset
Ability to provide pragmatic, robust and tailored advice in writing and to clients in meetings and calls
Organised and confident managing a busy workload and a substantial client portfolio
Genuine interest in developing expertise in data protection and privacy work (prior DSAR experience not required)
Team player, self-motivated and proactive, with ambition to progress
