Growing compensation and benefits team in a national practice seeks a seasoned attorney to advise on tax-qualified retirement plans and health & welfare plans. The role focuses on ERISA compliance, plan design and administration, and counseling on benefit-plan issues arising in transactions.

The position involves drafting plan documents and disclosures, handling compliance testing, preparing IRS and DOL filings, responding to audits, and managing correction matters. Experience with ESOPs and ERISA plan asset issues is a plus.

Minimum 6 years of relevant ERISA/compensation & benefits experience advising on retirement and health & welfare plans
Experience with plan design, administration, drafting plan documents and disclosures, compliance testing, and IRS/DOL filings and audits
Transaction experience counseling on benefit plan issues arising in M&A or other deals
Strong legal writing, oral communication and analytical skills; excellent academic credentials preferred
