Join a national compensation and benefits practice as a senior attorney focused on qualified retirement plans and health and welfare plans. The role involves counseling on ERISA compliance, plan design and administration, and benefit-plan issues arising in transactions.

Work will include drafting plan documents and disclosures, handling compliance testing, preparing IRS and Department of Labor filings, responding to audits, and managing correction matters. Experience with ESOP transactions and ERISA plan asset issues is a plus.

Minimum 6 years of post-qualification experience advising on tax-qualified retirement plans and health & welfare (ERISA) matters
Experience with plan design, administration, drafting plan documents and participant disclosures
Familiarity with compliance testing, IRS and DOL filings and audits, and correction procedures
Transactional experience counseling on benefit issues in M&A and similar deals; ESOP and plan-asset experience a plus
Excellent academic record, strong writing, oral advocacy and analytical skills
