Experienced ERISA and employee benefits attorney sought to join a national practice group focused on qualified retirement plans and health & welfare arrangements. The role involves counseling on plan design, administration, ERISA compliance, and transactional benefit issues.

Day-to-day work includes drafting plan documents and disclosures, handling compliance testing, preparing and responding to IRS and Department of Labor filings and audits, and managing correction matters. ESOP experience and familiarity with ERISA plan asset rules are a plus.

  • Minimum 6 years of post-qualification experience advising on tax-qualified retirement plans and health & welfare plans
  • Strong ERISA compliance background, including plan design, administration, compliance testing, and correction programs
  • Experience with IRS and DOL filings, audits, and related regulatory matters
  • Experience counseling on benefits issues in M&A/transactional contexts; ESOP and plan-asset experience a plus
  • Excellent academic credentials with superior writing, oral communication and analytical skills
