Seeking a senior attorney to join a national Compensation & Benefits practice advising on tax‑qualified retirement plans and health & welfare plans. The role focuses on ERISA compliance, plan design and administration, and benefit plan issues that arise in transactions.

Responsibilities include drafting plan documents and participant disclosures, handling compliance testing and correction matters, preparing IRS and DOL filings and responding to audits, and counseling on employee benefits aspects of mergers and acquisitions. ESOP and plan‑asset rules experience is a plus.

Minimum 6 years post‑qualification experience advising on tax‑qualified retirement plans and health & welfare plans (ERISA).
Practical experience with plan design, administration, drafting plan documents and disclosures, compliance testing, and corrections.
Experience preparing/responding to IRS and Department of Labor filings and audits.
Transactional benefits experience (M&A integrations, benefit issues in deals); ESOP and ERISA plan‑asset experience a plus.
Strong academic record with excellent writing, oral communication and analytical skills.
