Apply in confidence →Senior attorney role in a national Compensation & Benefits practice supporting tax-qualified retirement plans and health & welfare plans. The role focuses on ERISA compliance, plan design and administration, drafting plan documents and disclosures, and handling regulatory filings and audits.
Work includes counseling on benefit issues arising in transactions (including M&A-related plan matters), managing correction matters, and supporting client compliance with IRS and Department of Labor requirements. The team offers a comprehensive benefits package and competitive pay; the expected annual pay range for this position is $390,000+ (final offer varies by location and experience).
- Minimum 6 years' experience advising on tax-qualified retirement plans and health & welfare plans, including ERISA compliance
- Experience drafting plan documents and disclosures, compliance testing, and managing IRS and DOL filings/audits and correction programs
- Transactional experience counseling on benefit issues in M&A and other deals
- Strong writing, oral communication and analytical skills; excellent academic credentials
- Experience with ESOP transactions and ERISA plan asset rules is a plus
