Responsibilities cover all phases of defense litigation: drafting motions and pleadings, managing discovery and document review, taking and defending depositions, conducting legal research and drafting memoranda, and participating in settlement negotiations and mediations. The role offers flexible hours and may be performed remotely.
Candidates must be licensed to practice in Illinois and able to work with a national litigation team on consumer-protection matters.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active bar admission in Illinois (and good standing)
- 3–7 years of litigation experience preferred
- Experience with consumer-protection statutes (e.g., FCRA, FDCPA), class actions, or related consumer-finance litigation
- Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills; experience managing discovery and taking/defending depositions
- Federal court litigation experience a plus
