A Chicago office is seeking a mid-level associate to join its financial restructuring practice group. The role focuses on sophisticated in-court and out-of-court restructuring matters, representing institutional and private credit lenders as well as large public and private companies across a range of industries.

The associate will work on complex business reorganizations and Chapter 11 proceedings, including out-of-court restructurings, workouts, and creditors' rights matters. Responsibilities include negotiating and drafting loan documents, exercising remedies, and preparing core restructuring documents and pleadings such as plans of reorganization, restructuring support agreements, first-day motions, and other Chapter 11 filings.

At least four years of restructuring experience, including out-of-court restructurings, workouts, and complex business reorganizations (Chapter 11)
Experience representing lenders and/or debtors
Proficiency in negotiating and drafting loan documents, exercising remedies, and drafting core restructuring documents and pleadings (plans of reorganization, restructuring support agreements, first-day motions, other Chapter 11 filings)
Excellent academic credentials
Strong organizational, analytical, writing, and verbal skills
Admission to the Illinois Bar
