A leading global law firm is seeking associates to join its Global Finance Group, focused on leveraged finance transactions. The practice handles acquisition financings, refinancings, dividend recaps, liability management transactions and restructuring-related financings.

Associates take a hands-on role across the life of a financing, drafting and negotiating transaction documents and helping to lead deals primarily on behalf of borrower and lead arranger clients. The work spans syndicated lending and private credit/direct lending, with a strong emphasis on sponsor finance and LBO finance.

The role is open across several of the firm's US offices, including locations in the Midwest, Texas, California and New York. Candidates must be admitted, or eligible for admission, to the bar of the state where the relevant office is located. Compensation is competitive and includes bonus eligibility and a comprehensive benefits program; salary varies by location and reflects the relevant market, skills, experience and education of the selected candidate.

At least three years of experience in syndicated lending and/or private credit/direct lending
Experience representing either borrowers or lead arrangers
Strong sponsor finance/LBO finance experience preferred
Proven drafting and negotiation skills on financing transaction documents
Admitted, or eligible for admission, to the bar in the state of the relevant office
