An opportunity for a costs specialist to join a national disputes practice, working across commercial, real estate, construction, insolvency, IP and finance disputes. The role is available in either Leeds or Manchester and sits within a dedicated Costs team that supports complex, high-value matters and multi-jurisdictional work.

The post-holder will provide technical costs advice and drafting support across all stages of costs work, assist with costs budgeting and management, and contribute to settlement and hearing preparation. The team places emphasis on technical excellence, commercial focus and using technology to drive efficiency.

Experience assisting with detailed assessment work: drafting bills, points of dispute/reply and supporting at hearings.
Familiarity with costs budgeting and management: precedent H/R/T, monitoring legal spend and preparing budgets.
Experience preparing schedules of costs for summary assessment, payments on account and arbitrations (eg N260).
Strong organisational skills, ability to manage competing deadlines and deliver accurate, high-quality work under supervision.
